Outfit of the week

March and April have proved to be a tough time for all of us. Being in quarantine for about three weeks now has been riveting (ahem, not really). Though it’s not exactly a hoot and a half, I don’t find it to be boring at all. I’m always busy with school work because online school has proven to more complicated than expected. I read books (I recently read Children of Blood and Bone, a fantastic novel, and I’m currently on the sequel Children of Virtue and Vengeance), trying on outfits for the future, online shopping, working out, and spending time with family. Like I said, never bored.

Enough of the quarantine talk because it’s time for another Outfit of the Week! I’ve been thinking about this outfit for a while now because it’s honestly one of my favorites. But then again, all of my outfits are my favorites. Without further adieu, I present my outfit. I am absolutely, positively in love with these jeans. They’re boyfriend jeans, so they sit at the waist comfortably and go down to the ankles. The print is floral, and the pants are overall an ivory color with a hint of pastel pink. The pockets in the back are real, as well as the pockets in the front. I got a great deal on these boyfriend jeans since I bought them at a discount for $50 when they usually stand at a whopping $198 at Free People. It’s like they were calling out to me, “Buy me, buy me.” So I bought them. However, due to this quarantine, I thought that I had maybe gone up a size (I kid you not I ate a whole quart of cookies and cream ice cream) so I sized up. Once I tried them on at home, it’s like the pants could fit two Lina’s! Okay, maybe not two of me, but they were quite large at the waist, so I advise you to buy pants that are your size (which you probably already knew).

The trucker jacket is one of my newer additions to my closet (so are the pants) that I also bought on sale. I saw this jacket at Urban Outfitters before it was on sale, and it immediately draw me in. But I didn’t dare to whip out my card and buy it because it was over $100. I visited the Urban Outfitters (online store, of course. Got to stay inside) a couple of days later and saw that it was on sale for $44! There was nothing left for me to do but hit “Add to Cart,” and my jacket arrived a week later.

Okay, as for the accessories: belt. The belt is also from Free People and stands at $30. I bought it along with the pants because I thought that the colors fit well. It’s suede and has a pink tint (but it’s called ‘distressed white’) with a western brass buckle in the front.

Stay safe & healthy
