Back to school

My purchases from Choosing Keeping:

Back to School

It’s that time again. But it’s exciting in a way. For some (cough cough me), it’s the last year of high school. For others, it’s their first time going to school. And then middle schoolers. Nevertheless, new school supplies buying is on the horizon, and I’m here to write about some pretty swaggy back-to-school stores. Without further adieu, let’s get to store number one:

  1. Choosing Keeping

https://choosingkeeping.com

This store is where I’m currently buying my school supplies. I thought that it was time to get some cute notebooks for senior year. Why? Because why not, amirite? I decided to get an A4 and A5 ruled notebooks in the same floral style. They also have mechanical pencils, lead refills, ballpoint pens, rulers, sharpeners, staplers, glue, etc. It’s a little more on the pricier side, depending on what you want to buy. But what I love about this store is that it’s minimalistic. Minimalism is my style in anything: clothing, school supplies, home decor. The website looks professional (to me, at least), and that’s always a significant factor whenever it comes to online shopping for me.

  1. Amazon

www.amazon.com

Of course, I have to include amazon. Amazon has anything seriously, so if I’m missing something and want it within this lifetime, I buy it. It’s great for the little things that you didn’t have a chance to purchase at other more “aesthetic” stores like scotch tape, more lead refills, folders, pens, flashcards, sharpies. But if you’re going for more of an ~ aesthetic ~ vibe, I recommend Choosing Keeping or the stores that I’m going to list next.

  1. Kawaii Pen Shop

https://kawaiipenshop.com

This store is so adorable. They have everything from ‘100 Days Bucket List Journal’ to Campus Notebooks, planners, washi tapes, planners, pens, markers, sharpeners, pencils. Plus, they have bags and gift cards. I would call this a cute/aesthetic amazon because they have everything like flashcards and folders.

  1. Entropía Paperstore

http://entropiapaperstore.com/es/

Last summer, when I was in Barcelona, I desperately needed a notebook because I was going to school there. I didn’t want a regular notebook that I could buy in a supermarket or Staples; no, I had to be e x t r a and have a cute notebook. So, me being me, I typed ‘aesthetic paper stores near me,’ and it took me to Entropía. I ventured out one day after school to buy one notebook, and when I stepped into the store, the fresh smell of notebooks hit me in the face. I spent a very long time there, and I bought a super adorable pink notebook. Anyway, the store is very minimalistic, and they have many options to choose from; however, they only deliver within Spain.

  1. Inchiostro and paper

https://www.inchiostroandpaper.com/home

This store mostly has notebooks, planners, and printables, so they don’t sell pens, pencils, and such, but if you’re looking for a unique notebook with a design, this is your store. The notebooks are also very affordable because a lot of them are about 8 euros.

I think we can now move onto clothing, accessories, and shoes. I won’t be buying any new back-to-school clothes because I have a system: whenever I shop throughout the summer, I a l w a y s make sure that the pieces I’m about to buy work for both in and out of school. Of course, this doesn’t mean that I only own mock necks and turtlenecks because I have clothing that I can’t wear to school, but I can wear most of my wardrobe to school. I’m going to recommend some of my favorite stores that I shop at, but I think from my previous posts, everyone can tell that my fav stores include Djerf Avenue and Shore, so this time, I’m going to leave these out.

  1. ABLE
    1. They sell clothing (denim, jackets, tops), accessories, shoes, bags, and jewelry. It’s a great, sustainable store that will make you feel good about your purchases because you’re essentially not contributing to fast fashion. Speaking of fast fashion, these next stores will help you avoid it!
  1. Depop/Poshmark
    1. These are great second-hand stores with fast services! You can buy and sell clothing, so it’s a great way to spot unique pieces that you usually wouldn’t find at Pacsun or Urban Outfitters. Plus, since someone previously owned these pieces, they have a story behind them.

  1. Thrift!
    1. Goodwill, Plato’s Closet, Second-hand stores in Europe are Depop and Poshmark but in real life.
